Bro, I loved this specially...
"This is perhaps the aspect of ministry to which I’m looking most forward, since I consider one of my strongest gifts to be teaching and encouraging."
Praying for you man. Specially as you try to bridge the gap between decisions for Christ and connecting those brothers and sisters to solid gospel communities that can nourish and help live out those decisions... I am excited to see the "underground" manifestations of God's people continue to grow and help the "mainstream" church reach out and live missionally.
As someone said in Cornerstone a few years ago.. "It's easy to 'die tonight for my beliefs' the hard part is to live by those beliefs day to day".
Stoked for you guys. Tell Loyal I said hello!

Michelle brought this verse to my attention:

"23 Do you think that I like to see wicked people die? Of course not! I want them to turn from their wicked ways and live. 24 However, if righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins. 25 ""Yet you say, 'The Lord isn't doing what's right!' Listen to me, O people of Israel. Am I the one not doing what is right, or is it you? 26 When righteous people turn from their righteous behaviour and start doing wicked things, they will die for it. 27 And if wicked people turn from their wickedness and obey the law, and do what is just and right, they will save their lives." Ezekiel 18:23-27

Yes we are told to pray for our enemies. I think most of us as Christians are guilty of falling short on that.

I do believe many people went overboard with their statements regarding his death and to me, it just indicates their hearts.
We need to be reminded though that Jesus said that those who live by the sword, will die by the sword. Osama knew exactly what he was doing and he lived in hate towards who he considered as infidels. I believe that Jesus would forgive even him if he humbled himself, and surrendered his life to Him. That would require one to lay their pride aside. Unfortunatley, some people's hearts become so hardened, nothing will change them. Makes me think of the Pharaoh with Moses and how it says that God hardened his heart. The Pharaoh started that process though. Even the death of his son, wouldnt change him. God is sovereign and knows where everyone stands with Him.

Lucas this was amazing. You are very right in every word that you have said. I couldn't have said it better myself. It's a shame that he wasn't saved and yes he does deserve punnishment, and will rot in hell, but I do feel bad that he didn't have a chance. Great blog lucas!

The logical argument against abortion - well stated! Political correctness today forces us to abandon logic and not just when it comes to abortion.
